Using the grid without spoiling the fun
The grid tells you what’s left, not what it is. Once you’ve found a few words, compare your list with a row: if the grid says six words start with a letter and you have four, you know exactly where to hunt. The two-letter list sharpens that further, down to words beginning with, say, “DE”.
Scoring rewards length: a single eight-letter word is worth as much as eight four-letter words, and a pangram adds seven more. That’s why chasing pangrams early is the quickest route to Genius.

What score do I need for Genius?

How do I read the hint grid?
Rows are starting letters, columns are word lengths, and each number is how many answers fit. Σ is the row or column total. It is the same format many Bee regulars use.

What is a perfect pangram?
